Another month goes by, and so does another set of Ws and Ls in the sneaker release world. As the sneaker industry continues to grow – especially in terms of women’s releases – it can sometimes feel like there’s a new sneaker or collaboration every other day and it can be hard to keep up.

Not every must-cop sneaker has to be a limited release and July’s drops have proven that general releases are just as worthy of coverage. But don’t get us wrong – there are some gems that we’re crossing all our fingers for a win!

Keep reading to see our roundup of the best women’s sneaker releases from July…

Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 4 Wmns Sail

Is there ever a Nike x Off-White collab that doesn’t have every sneakerhead on tenterhooks waiting to see if they got lucky with any of the many raffles they entered? Probably not – and this one is no exception. The Louis Vuitton artistic director delivered us a fresh batch of smoking hot kicks and we already envy those who manage to get them in-hand.

It’s always great to see a high profile collab come out with a women’s-specific sneaker that doesn’t take the stereotypical ‘pink it and shrink it’ approach to its design. The design itself first came as a sample from Virgil’s 2019 ‘Figures of Speech’ exhibition in Chicago and has been given the classic Off-White quotation and tag treatment we’ve come to know and expect, with the neutral ‘Sail’ colourway making them a breeze to style with some mid wash jeans or oversized jersey shorts.

Nike Blazer Mid 77 Butter Canvas

Nike Blazers often get overshadowed by their more famous Mid and Hi Jordan cousins, but these kicks are giving us all the laid back vintage summer vibes with its vulcanised sole and old-style Swoosh. Taking us all the way back to ‘77 when the blazer made its first court debut, this heritage sneaker combines the best of vintage with a new skool colourway.

Perfect for your #minimal #clean IG aesthetic, the monochromatic neutral-tan hue of this b-ball shoe and its matching laces is perfectly clean and crisp. Arriving in a full-size run from a UK 2.5 – 9.5, they’re 100% small-feet friendly that won’t look out of place with some straight leg/skinny jeans or a denim skirt.

New Balance 327 Womens  Green/Grey/White

Releasing off the back of the success of its collaboration with Casablanca earlier this year, New Balance is really making the most of its 327 model – and it’s easy to see why! This iteration of the ‘70s style runner combines earthy green and brown tones with suede and mesh fabrics on the upper to give us that urban runner-meets-hiker aesthetic – with added grip thanks to the extended outsole running up the heel. Not super hype, but when has New Balance ever been super hype or flashy? Saying that… just wait for the next pair we’ve got for you…

New Balance x Jaden Smith Vision Racer

Not officially a women’s shoe, but the size run goes down to a UK 6 so if you’re *lucky* enough to be in that ‘in-between’ zone between men’s and women’s sneakers, check these out (cries in size UK 4 feet) .

We had to include this in the list for the sheer boldness of its design and the size of that sole – what more could we expect from this experimental musician?! Taking cues from 2018’s chunky sneaker trend, the shoe’s main attraction is the beefy split sole, which features a speckled canvas-like outer covering. We’re loving the translucent outsoles reminiscent of Y2K era electronics – think a clear Gameboy Colour or first generation translucent iMac. If the colours and the bold branding on these aren’t enough to get you excited, perhaps the fact that the upper is made from 60% recycled polyester, and the midsole from reground EVA could do.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Move High Top FARRO/CACTUS FLOWER/WHITE

Following on from the success of the jagged we saw on the Run Star Hike, and the Chuck Taylor All Star Lift’s double height sole, Converse raised the game again with the All Star Move. This time, the white midsole takes on a minimal sculpted form while the vibrant fuchsia outsole which is just visible underneath adds a pop of colour. A pared-back nude hue is always a great styling option for summer if you’re all about keeping the colour up top in your outfit, with the canvas upper keeping your feet cool during those long hot days.
