2021 has been a unique year for most, and equally so for sneakerheads and designers in the sneaker world! We’ve had countless colourways released, some brand new and innovative, others retro and restyling OG themes. We thought we’d help wrap up 2021 with a quick glance at two of our favourite colourways from this year, for two of the largest sneaker brands in the world: Air Jordan and Yeezys.

Air Jordans: Air Jordan 1 High OG Bio Hack

Jordan brand have scarcely rested the last few decades, bringing us countless iconic silhouettes with a fantastic selection of colourways for each, and 2021 has been no different! Michael Jordan’s world-famous sneaker brand has delivered much in fan service this year, releasing plenty of retro and OG colourways for the Air Jordan 1, like the KO Storm Blue, the Mid Metallic Red, and the timeless High OG University Blue, throwing back to MJ’s college days.

But these gorgeous throwbacks pale in comparison to one of Air Jordan’s more adventurous colourways released this year: the High OG Bio Hack. This unique and colourful design takes the rare decision to have a coloured midsole, which is almost always pure white. Two tones of blue make up the toe box, toe guard, and eyelets, while a black midsection frames an earthy brown collar and heel and a crisp silver Nike swoosh. This stunning combination of neutral and bright colours is finished off with a yellow tongue with highlighter orange branding. A truly unique colourway and one of Jordan’s best!

Yeezys: Yeezy Boost 700 V3 Bright Blue

The Yeezy 700 V3 is currently making huge successes capitalising on the dad sneaker trend with its chunky soles and knitted upper. This colourway makes a serious deviation from the normal earthy hues we are used to seeing on Yeezy sneakers with the addition of its blue and orange tones across the entire colourway.

The colourway has been noted as including inspiration from the OG colourway itself Wave Runner, along with taking the blue from Ye’s ‘Jesus is King’ album. The combination is a striking sneaker with a huge chunky bright orange midsole framed by black detailing on the outsoles and body. As the name suggests, this colourway also delivers a bright blue covering the eyelets, collar, mesh window, and toe cap.
