As new releases of the Yeezy Boost 700 hit the shelves back-to-back, it seems like Ye and his team are looking to reignite the frenzy surrounding this Adidas original and get sneakerheads talking about his sneakers once again. The roaring success of the “Wave Runner” colourway has been something that Yeezy are hoping to use to their advantage with an upcoming colourway that plans to tweak the Yeezy Boost 700’s palette ever so slightly. With official imagery at our disposal, we’re taking a closer look at the “Wash Orange” colourway in exquisite detail.
The upper is featured in a slate grey hue that is noticeably darker than the “Wave Runner” iteration and coats the toe, collar, heel and tongue. This colour blocking resembles the aforementioned colourway rather closely and it seems like very little has been done in order to set the two designs apart from one another. Down below it’s a familiar story with dark black suede wrapping around a teal mesh toe design, however the midsole is where the “Wash Orange” really comes into its own. Rather than opting for yet another aspect of the aforementioned “Wave Runner”, the colourway takes the orange accents and spreads them across the entire midsole in order to create a bright and dazzling design that is definitely going to turn heads. Whilst it’s undeniable that these kicks are a tweak of a previous design, the demanding nature of that orange midsole is a unique factor we certainly won’t be arguing with.
There’s not much known about the Yeezy Boost 700 “Wash Orange” so far, however sources suggest that the colourway is scheduled to release with select retailers in October.
