For a while, it seemed as though the Yeezy era might just be starting to fizzle out. Kanye has been going through some very public personal issues culminating in the breakdown of his marriage, and the previously endless stream of releases had slowed right down, leading many to think that perhaps we were seeing the beginning of the end.
However, over the past month or so, things have been gathering pace again, and along with a number of shiny new 350 V2 colourways, the Adidas imprint is set to release a couple of brand-new silhouettes including the 450 and the long-awaited 350 V3 which is scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks.
It appears there’s life in the old dog yet then, so to keep you locked in to Yeezy’s upcoming plans, here’s our pick of March’s best releases.
Yeezy 450
Where else could we start other than the aforementioned 450, which is arguably Ye’s wackiest production to date. The avant-garde, tooth-endowed silhouette arrives with an all-sock upper that guarantees a snug and comfortable fit.
The 450 has divided opinion online since its announcement, but while the “out-there” design specs might not be to everyone’s taste, you can be sure it’ll prove popular once it lands this month.
Yeezy Foam RNNR “MXT Moon Grey”
Speaking of wacky productions, hot on the heels of the 450 as one of Yeezy’s most beautifully weird inventions is the Yeezy Foam RNNR, and it’s getting a makeover this month when it arrives in the “MXT Moon Grey” colourway.
Another one that appeals to more of an acquired taste, this all-foam silhouette features several punctures along its unorthodox construction, which make it one of the most standout Yeezys to arrive in years. The marbled effect merely adds to the intrigue, ensuring this is one many-a-sneakerhead will be desperate to cop when it lands later in the month.
Yeezy Boost 380 “Covellite”
The Yeezy Boost 380 became the main point of focus for Ye and his team towards the back end of 2020, with almost every new release taking the form of the burgeoning silhouette. Now the growing family is set to receive another update, but unlike some of the previous colourways that were a little underwhelming, this one’s a real banger and undoubtedly one of the best 380s ever released.
With indigo and faded lavender hues that interweave on the Primeknit upper, combined with a black lacing system and chunky brown midsole underneath, the 380 “Covellite” is a great addition to any Yeezy fan’s sneaker collection this spring.
