One of the most highly anticipated events in the sneaker calendar, Air Max Day has returned for 2023. This year, to celebrate the series’ industry-defining technology and long lasting heritage, Nike is bridging the gap between old and new with updated colourways and renewed classics. Including the legendary Air Max 1, discover upcoming arrivals and previous releases from the collection in honour of Air Max Day.

Air Max 1 86 OG Big Bubble Red

The Air Max 1 86 OG Big Bubble Red adopts key elements from the original silhouette released in 1986, a year before the AM1’s official launch. Showcasing classic colour blocking, the upper is crafted with a white mesh and accented with red overlays. Grounded by a durable rubber sole, the exposed Air unit stays true to Tinker Hatfield’s game-changing design.

Nike Air Max Pulse

Finding the balance between function and fashion with performance-inspired details, Nike has revealed two iterations of an all-new silhouette: the Air Max Pulse. Bearing a resemblance to the Air Max 270, both sneakers feature multiple Swoosh placements and hits of branding on the heels. Underfoot, the textile-wrapped soles host advanced cushioning for all-day comfort.

Air Max 1/97 x Sean Wotherspoon

Championing innovation and creativity, the Air Max 1/97 x Sean Wotherspoon is an Air Max Day exclusive from 2018. Born from a Nike-set challenge which required 12 creatives to design a unique sneaker, Sean Wotherspoon’s winning AM1 and AM97 hybrid is inspired by vintage Nike hats and windbreakers. Stand-out elements include multi-coloured corduroy, smiley face motifs and “Have a nice day” branding.

Arriving soon to Laced, the Air Max 1 86 OG Big Bubble Red and the Nike Air Max Pulse renditions will be available to shop on 26th March 2023.
