American contemporary artist Tom Sachs and Nike have a renowned history that’s left a lasting impact on the industry and paved the way for a new wave of practical sneakers. Last year, following an overwhelming supply and demand issue, the collaborative duo released the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe — a sneaker designed to be worn, not displayed. Launching in a wide variety of colourways and seeing constant restocks, this game-changing style left fans wanting more. Now, as versatile and heavy-duty silhouettes continue to reign supreme, Nike and Sachs have unveiled a third addition to their ever-growing portfolio. Ahead of its highly anticipated release, take a closer look at the latest style from the coveted collection.
Borrowing key elements from its predecessors, the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Field Brown” arrives with a textural design and timeless hues. Boasting shades of brown and black, the upper is crafted from a blend of suede, mesh and premium leather. Co-branding featuring Sachs’ iconic handwriting graces the tongue, heel and sockliner, while Nike’s Swoosh remains in situ on the sidewalls. Rounded off with double pull tabs and grip-enhancing tread, functionality remains at the forefront of the design.
Coming soon to Laced, the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Field Brown” is set to release on 5th February 2023.
