From spring-ready releases to unexpected partnerships, February has seen some of the most covetable styles of the year so far. Nike kickstarted the month with a series of collaborative sneakers including AMBUSH and Tom Sachs, while MSCHF’s Big Red Boot divided fans at New York Fashion Week. In case you missed the headlines, we’ve rounded up some of the highlights from February 2023.
The Upcoming Air Force 1 Low “White” x Billie Eilish
Following the debut of “Mushroom” and “Black” iterations, Nike revealed its plans to release another rendition of the Air Force 1 Low x Billie Eilish — this time, with an all-white design. Borrowing details from its predecessors, the upcoming pair features a fragmented patchwork upper, leather cut-outs and ripstop wrap guards. Additional elements include Eilish’s insignias on the tongues and lace dubraes, while advanced cushioning underfoot offers the comfort this silhouette is known for.
Highlights From London Fashion Week
One of the most highly anticipated events of the season, London Fashion Week delivered a whole host of highlights to the capital. JW Anderson pushed boundaries with paw-like footwear and Burberry’s 20th century-inspired collection brought heritage style to the runway.
Similarly, the fashion on the pavements outside the shows did not disappoint either. In between the shows and events, attendees showcased their best street-style looks and some of the most sought-after shoes from the previous months. ASICS and Nike shoes reigned supreme, including the Gel Kayano 14 and the Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara, while classic silhouettes like the adidas Samba also featured heavily.
The Off-White x Chicago Bulls Capsule
This month, Off-White returned to its roots to introduce its newest collaborative project with the Chicago Bulls. Conceptualised by Don C, Off-White CEO Andrea Grilli and the Abloh family, the capsule celebrates Virgil Abloh’s love of basketball and his hometown. With four-limited edition styles at the forefront of the campaign, each style fuses the worlds of luxury and streetwear with signature typography, caricature-inspired mascots and iconic colourways. Prices range from $1,020 – $5,180, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Virgil Abloh Foundation.
The Stüssy x Levi’s Collaboration
As more streetwear powerhouses partner up with heritage labels to bridge the gap between fashion and function, Stüssy recently revealed its latest collaborator: Levi’s. The partnership sees the Californian-born brands join forces to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Levi’s 501 jeans with a two-piece collection. Reimagined with an indigo blue wash, both styles appear with embossed motifs, co-branded logos and metallic hardware. Complete with a special-edition pocket bag, this collection is already gearing up to be one of the most coveted releases of 2023.
