They say the early bird catches the worm – but it is the early sneaker fan that gets a chance at the best kicks, especially this Saturday February 8. Not only does the Nike Air Jordan Hi 85 ‘Varsity Red & Black’ and the new YEEZY 700 MNVN ‘Triple Black’ drop, so too does the new Nike x SB Dunk StrangeLove.
We’ve got the court shoe fans and Yeezy streetwear covered, so now its time for the skate fans to start getting excited for one of the biggest shoe drops of 2020 so far. The StrangeLove Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration with LA-based imprint’s Sean Cliver receives a brilliant pink, red and white colourway with the use of crushed velvet on the upper for a silky soft touch.
The romantic look drops in plenty of time for Valentine’s Day and is expected to be extremely hot property. So, get yourself over to as many raffles as you can for a chance to get your hands on a pair come release day – February 8 – that’s Saturday morning at 8am GMT! Write it in your diaries.
The release of the new SB Dunk has already hit a few hurdles. StrangeLove Skateboards have already had to cancel their own online raffle due to in invasion of the dreaded sneaker bots invading their back end and wreaking havoc on the site. StrangeLove made the announcement of their plans to cancel their online release on Instagram, thanking their supportive fanbase and telling them to support other official Nike SB retailers selling the shoes come February 8.
The new Dunks from StrangeLove are as much about the materials as they are the vibrant colouring. Blending velvet and suede has created new life on the famous panelling, creating a glossy texture that helps the red, white and pink colouring transform when you look at it from different angles.
We feel that it won’t just be skate fans that will be hoping to cop a pair of these new rare SB Dunks. So be sure to get ready on release day. If you miss out, check out Laced’s online trainer’s platform to find great deals on the resale market.
