With Christmas 2020 creeping upon us, we thought it would be best to give you all a breakdown on the best sneakers to either add to your list for Santa Claus or cop yourself as a present for making it through the year. The year has seen some of the craziest releases ever despite the global pandemic we are all facing.

Nike and Jordan Brand have wheeled out so many classics we couldn’t even begin to list them all, whilst Kanye West and Adidas have gone equally as hard with new silhouettes and OG re-releases.

So, the best way to avoid any disappointment with presents this year is to buy them for yourself, so let’s take a look at the best sneakers to fill your stockings with this year.

If you’re looking for a sneaker that is going to upgrade your rotation to new heights instantly, the Air Jordan 4 collab with Union LA is the way to go. The sneaker released a few months back with sneakerheads across the globe going wild for the release.

The uppers come crafted from a luxurious mix of suede and mesh, whilst the fold-down tongue is a unique feature that Union founder Chris Gibbs added due to the fact he did this as a youngster. We also see the purposely aged sole feature, something that we saw on the Union x Air Jordan 1 too.

A must-have for collectors, opening this sneaker on Christmas Day is guaranteed to make you smile.

If you have always wanted to add a pair of Yeezy’s to your collection, but the outrageous colourways were never your thing, the Yeezy Boost 380 Onyx may be the silhouette for you.

The sleek primeknit upper is dripping in a minimalist black colourway, whilst Ye switches out his usual armour-like sole units for a more streamlined version. The sole still houses the iconic Ultra Boost technology. This means you still get the unbelievable comfort you always get with Yeezy’s.

A perfect winter sneaker due to the black colourway, the Onyx will be right at home under the Christmas tree.

The Nike Dunk has had a year like no other, with many incredible Highs and Lows releasing since January. The Pro Green, however, may well be the best High we have seen this year. This sneaker has a seriously retro feel thanks to previous green and white Dunks that have released over the years.

White leather underlays are complimented perfectly by Pro Green panelling throughout. Legendary Nike swooshes feature down both lateral and medial sides of the sneaker with Nike Air also featuring on the tongue of the shoes. The shoe looks as if it was plucked straight from the original releases back in the 80s, a truly incredible silhouette.

What says Christmas more than a Christmas tree green colourway on a sneaker? Be sure to add the Pro Green to your collection this year.

Any sneaker we see dressed in the iconic Chicago colourway is guaranteed to turn heads. Air Jordan 1 Mid’s are also having one of the best years in terms of hype, making this Chicago Toe a must-cop for sneakerheads.

A colourway made famous by Michael Jordan and his dominating performances for the Chicago Bulls. The legendary black swoosh set against red and white panelling will always be one of our favourite combos. The toe box is switched out on this version, however, featuring a black toebox instead of the OG white we have become accustomed too.

The Mid’s are only going to go from strength to strength in the coming years, especially with great colourways like this Chicago version. A perfect colourway for Santa Claus himself, jump on the hype train before its too late.

One of the more understated Jordan silhouettes, The Air Jordan 5, has seen a massive resurgence throughout 2020. Partly down to the unreal collaborative efforts with Off-White. With a black version releasing in February and the sail version dropping just a few months back, this sneaker has every chance at being named sneaker of the year.

Virgil Abloh’s idea behind the design was a deconstructed take on a classic. He made the shoe look as if it had been pulled straight from MJ’s wardrobe back in the day. The sneaker features transparent panelling that can be cut out if you fancy the DIY, whilst the traditional leather uppers are swapped out for synthetic materials.

It is unlikely a family member will know to grab you a potential sneaker of the year candidate for Christmas this year, so do yourself a favour and add these to your collection ASAP.

This year we were treated to a re-issue of a classic pack from way back in 2001. A Japan-exclusive back then, we were ecstatic to see the three colours re-release this year.

The Ceramic, Plum & Veneer colourways really push the boundaries with their design. All three feature predominantly suede uppers in a mixture of colours. They are a true retro of the OG versions, making these as desirable as any Dunk ever for collectors. Sneakerheads have waited almost twenty years for a chance to add these iconic shoes to their collections. You shouldn’t wait a minute longer.

If you can’t decide which of the legendary pack you’d like to cop, why not grab all three. We guarantee you won’t regret it when you unwrap these on Christmas morning.

If you are anything like us, you will have been devastated to miss out on the Union LA x Jordan 1 collaboration. But, fear not because fortunately, we have just the sneaker to ease the pain.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid Union has all the similar features that made the Union collab such a hit but without the massive price tag. The uppers come with the iconic Jordan panelling featuring the red, white and black colourway that made the Unions such a hit. Swooshes, Jordan Wings and Jumpman logos feature throughout completing this legendary sneaker’s look.

If you want to flex on everyone this Christmas but on a budget, the AJ1 Union Mid is the way to go. Check if your size is in stock below.

It does not get any more classic than a Yeezy Boost 350. A silhouette that Kanye West has stuck by since he began his journey with Adidas, this sneaker is essential for all sneakerheads to have in their rotation. The Carbon colourway may just be the best version Ye has produced.

The primeknit uppers are composed of a mix of black and white. This gives the shoe an incredibly luxurious yet minimalist feel. Crosshatching features throughout, an aspect that has really pushed the boundaries of sneaker design. Underfoot you will find a sail sole unit housing the iconic Adidas Ultraboost technology. As with all Yeezy 350s, the comfort you get from these sneakers is unmatched.

Virgil Abloh has had quite the year within the sneaker game, with his collaborative efforts being some of the most sought-after releases of 2020. Perhaps my favourite release all year, the Air Jordan 4 x Off-White Sail is going to elevate your sneaker game to unparalleled heights.

The completely cream silhouette is as eye-catching as any sneaker on the market today. After being teased at the “Figures of Speech” exhibit in Chicago, then again in Off-White’s Paris FW20 show, this shoe had all sorts of hype around it before its release.

This AJ 4’s extremely minimalist sail colourway is emphasised with white accents throughout. The classic Jordan hangtag also in cream, staying consistent with the rest of the shoe. Virgil, of course, included his usual design aspects that we know and love. An Off-White zip-tie for instant recognition, as well as the notable “AIR” branding on the heel.

This sneaker is an absolute grail for sneakerheads around the globe and will elevate anybody’s Christmas stocking this year. Check for your size now through the link below.

This next silhouette is for our smaller footed sneakerheads out there. The Air Jordan 1 Mid Chicago is an immaculate take on MJ’s classic Jordan 1 colourway. White underlays are perfectly complemented by the traditional Chicago Bulls black and red accents. The iconic swoosh branding features in black across both lateral and medial sides of the shoe, whilst the black wings logo features on the ankle of the shoe.

One slight difference between this silhouette and the OG is the heel panel has been switched up. A white panel taking the place of the original red version. The aesthetics of this sneaker are out of this world. Any sneakerhead would be ecstatic to unwrap these this year.

The Year of the Dunk was only just getting going when this legendary colourway released back in March. The Kentucky is a throwback colourway to Nike’s old advertising campaign, ‘Be True To Your School’. This throwback gave many older sneakerheads a chance to reminisce about the iconic colourway and educate new sneakerheads on the importance of such a colourway.

The pops of blue against the white underlays are as classic as it gets, making this a superb tribute to the OG version that released in the 80s. Despite all of the massive collabs we have seen on the Dunks this year, the Kentucky may be my favourite version to release all year long.

If you want to start 2021 with a legendary silhouette on foot that will instantly turn the heads of collectors, then the Kentucky Dunk is for you. Check for your size now by clicking the link below.

The only way to round off this list is to take it in a wild direction with the insane Sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle. A sneaker that pushes all the boundaries when it comes to sneaker design. This shoe is the ultimate flex this holiday season.

It’s hard even to describe this shoe, —a fusion of two of Nike’s most popular silhouettes. A mix of premium materials emphasised by the somewhat minimalist black and white colourway. But the colourway is the only part of the shoe that is minimal. Double tongues have become a staple in Sacai designed sneakers, as has the double step-like sole unit. The minute this silhouette was teased, it was instantly catapulted into the Sneaker of the Year discussion. Upon release, the case became even stronger due to the incredible details on the shoe.

If you want to stun family and friends with one of the wildest shoes ever to release this holiday season, the Sacai x Vaporwaffle is the shoe for you.
