We’ve had a brand new black and red Chicago Bulls colourway for the Air Jordan 1 as well as a green and black look that dropped a few weeks after. Both were major hits, as we always expect when it comes to AJ1 retro colour schemes.

Now it’s the turn of a purple, black and white colour scheme that honours the classic 1999 “City Attack’ look. The last two classic colourways were more on the dark side of the colour spectrum. This new “Court Purple” look throws in some lighter features, which is set to be the perfect summer style to throw in amongst the rotations.

The shoe itself has a dark base, with layers of premium leather panels in both purple and white built up over the top. The swoosh and Jumpman branding have been blacked out and sat on top of the colourway to help break up the shoe into unique segments.

The Air Jordan 1 retro High OG “Court Purple” also features black laces but we expect plenty of AJ fans to swap these out for some purple or white laces for a fresher, brighter look. The sockliner is blacked out for a dark rim to the upper and the soleplate includes a white midsole and purple outsole.

A new feature is the leather two-tone Nike Air tongue tags with a black leather base and embossed in purple for a sleek look from the front.

The new “Court Purple” design will be dropping on April 11th and with the current situation surrounding Covid-19 the release will expected to be completely online. Do not venture outside to retailers in the hope of securing a pair in the upcoming months for any reason.

The Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Court Purple” will be dropping at $170 (£137). Be sure to head to Nike.com or to the SNKRS app on drop day to bag yourself a pair. If you do miss out on April 11th, head over to Laced’s online trainers platform to buy and sell on the resale market.
