It’s a right of passage for every sneakerhead to get their hands on a pair of Air Jordan 1’s, Michael Jordan’s first ever basketball shoes, at one point or another.  Released all the way back in 1985, the legendary silhouette still manages to turn heads today so it comes as no surprise that Jordan Brand continue to push it, with new releases featuring exclusive colourways and retro refurbs arriving every year.

If you’re new to the sneaker game, it’s entirely plausible that you may have missed out on a handful of rare colourways back in the day which is why it’s crucial to stay on top of the game to stand any chance of copping a pair, and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Court Purple” is certainly hot on our list.

Peter Moore first introduced the Air Jordan 1 back in 1985 and the silhouette is set to house an iconic colourway that won’t stick around for too long come release day. The design works with an all-white leather base that draws attention to the metallic purple accents found on the satin collar lining, signature sidewall Nike Swoosh and, most importantly, the hard-to-miss ball-and-wings logo featured prominently on the ankle flaps. As ever, the silhouette wouldn’t be complete without the implementation of Nike’s own innovative Air cushioning technology for unbeatable full-length cushioning along the midsole.

The silhouette is set for a summer release on June 3rd 2021  with select retailers, however fans of the AJ1 will know that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Court Purple” is a colourway that many die-hard MJ fans will be looking to cop so there will be a serious need for speed on release day.
