The timeless Air Jordan 4 silhouette has received innumerable updates ever since Tinker Hadfield’s first iteration hit the shelves all the way back in 1989. Since then, the silhouette has maintained iconic status, and to this day sneakerheads are brimming with excitement whenever there’s a brand-new colourway about to drop.
Well this time’s certainly no different as the Air Jordan 4 “Starfish” readies itself for arrival, and official images suggest this one’s set to be another hit among lovers of the AJ4 collection.
At first glance, we can see the Air Jordan 4 showcases technical materials throughout. Using a colour combo consisting of sail, orange, grey and black, the end result is an understated aesthetic that’s punctuated by accents of colour.
The uppers consist mainly of black ballistic mesh, while underneath you can vaguely see the “Starfish” orange piercing through the textured base. Orange stitching on the shoe’s panels adds another layer of definition, while underfoot the smooth black leather panels sit as the midsole, which houses a visible Air unit located in the heel for additional court-friendly cushioning.
The outsole not only looks the part and compliments the orange accents found elsewhere, but it also provides extra grip for those nifty twists and turns when you’re shooting some hoops on the hardwood.
