Founded in 2016, American art collective MSCHF provides a platform for a group of modern artists to showcase their ideas through various creative outlets. From configuring viral stunts to unveiling innovative products, the unique company prides itself on delivering controversial concepts that are made to be talked about.
After the success of the group’s Gobstopper sneakers in 2022, MSCHF has revealed its next stand-out shoe – the cartoon-inspired Big Red Boots. Originally leaked online prior to the official release, the silhouette continues MSCHF’s passion for pushing the boundaries within fashion and has quickly become one of the brand’s most debated designs.
Inspired by Japanese Manga character Astro Boy, the oversized boots boast a vibrant red hue. Easy to clean thanks to its TPU outer shell, it also features a soft EVA foam sole unit for ultimate comfort. Underfoot, the ridged rubber outsole provides grip and is detailed with embossed MSCHF branding. Its roll top collar allows for an easy on and off and also adds to the boot’s exaggerated aesthetic.
