We’d love for someone to tell us how many different colourways the AJ 1 has seen since its inception in 1985. We want someone to tell us because we don’t want to do the leg work of counting them all ourselves because we don’t really have that kind of time, and we know there is going to be a lot of designs in that list.
The latest – the women’s AJ1 Retro High OG “Tie Dye” look can be added to the collection. This look is one of the most vibrant the silhouette has ever seen with a near complete turquoise blue, tie-dye aesthetic covering the upper.
This look is definitely a head turner, no doubt, and even though it is dropping as a women’s look, we are sure that everyone will be trying to get their hands on a pair. ‘Mens’ and ‘Womens’ titles means little to sneaker fans, especially when they look this good.
This new look from Nike and Michael Jordan could be a summer essential. Made up of premium leather with colour blocking in place to show off the tie-dye aesthetic against a clean white and black backdrop. The panelling opts for white across the sides and black on the toebox and tongue as well as the ankle wrapping. The Nike Swoosh is blacked out over the top of white panelling to help it really stand out whilst the tie dye look fills up all the extra spaces for a well-balanced, psychedelic look.
The Nike Air technology is ever present in the white midsole contained using a black outsole. This is a re-imagined classic with a fresh look that will be dropping on June 11 for a retail price of £140. Head to Laced’s online trainer’s platform after the date for the best options of the resale market.
