There will be plenty of brands looking to cash in on the popularity of the 54th NFL Super Bowl this year by aligning releases in time for the event on February 2. Even the Jordan brand and apparel giant Nike are looking to drop a brand-new Air Jordan 10 in time for the big game. Their release is inspired by the event’s Floridian location with an all-new Miami themed colourway.
Being a court shoe means that Nike don’t have to pay too much liberty to the football side of the game and instead have gone purely for a colourway straight out of Miami vice with a white base and palm tree graphic.
The Superbowl can be a bit of a smash and grab for those outside the NFL simply trying to milk the event for whatever they can. Which is why this new colourway from Nike has done well by not trying to stick too fervently with the football side of things, instead choosing a design that all fans can get behind – a great looking Air Jordan 10.
The design itself features a white canvas base with tan panels containing blue, grey and pink palm tree motifs that gives the feel of a GTA Vice City loading screen. The tan, gum-bottomed soleplate is interspersed with salmon pink features, as is the shoe’s lining. For a finishing flourish, the heel tab is given its own unique teal colouring to offset the paler aspects of the look.
Nike are dropping the new Air Jordan 10 “Super Bowl LIV” on January 31st, just in time for the main event on February 2nd. Fans will be able to cop pairs of the new-look Jordan’s at Nike.com or can log on to our online trainers’ platform to find the best prices on the resale market.
